Wellness OS ("we," "our," or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you use our wellness tracking application.

    Key Principle: Wellness OS stores all your data locally on your device using browser localStorage. We do not transmit your health, supplement, meal, or practice data to any external servers. Your wellness data stays on your device.
  

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

When you use Wellness OS, you may voluntarily provide the following types of information:

Wellness Profile: Health goals, training frequency, diet preferences, caffeine habits, and sleep quality assessments
Supplement Data: Current supplements you take, dosing schedules, cycling protocols, and inventory tracking
Meal & Nutrition Data: Food items you log, meal photos, dietary notes, and fasting windows
Practice Data: Daily wellness practices completed (meditation, cold exposure, breathwork, etc.) and streak tracking
Advanced Therapy Data: Peptide protocols, IV therapy sessions, and regenerative medicine tracking
Health Data Connections: If you choose to connect external health platforms (Viome, Function Health, 23andMe, Oura, WHOOP, Levels CGM, etc.), we may access health reports, biomarker data, genetic variants, and wearable metrics

1.2 Automatically Collected Information

Our hosting provider (Netlify) may collect standard web analytics including IP addresses, browser type, device information, and page views. We use no additional tracking scripts, cookies, or third-party analytics on the application itself.

2. How We Store Your Data

    Local-First Architecture: All wellness data — your profile, supplement protocols, meal logs, practice tracking, and health data — is stored exclusively in your browser's localStorage. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export it.
  

Specifically, we use the following localStorage keys:

wos-profile: Your onboarding profile (goals, lifestyle, selected supplements)
wos-v15: Daily state (check-ins, mode, meals, practices, inventory, settings)
wos-history: Historical adherence data for weekly trend visualization
wellness-os-theme: Your light/dark mode preference

Clearing your browser data or localStorage will permanently delete all Wellness OS data. We recommend using the Export Protocol Summary feature in Settings to back up your data periodically.

3. Health Data Integrations

Wellness OS provides optional connections to third-party health data platforms. When you enable these integrations:

Data from these platforms is processed locally on your device to generate personalized supplement and practice recommendations
We do not store copies of your genetic data, biomarker results, or wearable metrics on any server
Genetic variant detection (e.g., MTHFR C677T/A1298C) is used solely to adjust supplement form recommendations (e.g., methylfolate vs. folic acid)
Each integration can be independently enabled or disabled at any time in Settings

4. How We Use Your Information

The information you provide is used exclusively to:

Generate personalized supplement protocols based on your goals, lifestyle, and health data
Provide intelligent cross-pillar recommendations (food-supplement interactions, practice-supplement synergies, therapy timing alerts)
Track daily adherence and display progress metrics
Calculate supplement inventory levels and reorder alerts
Display historical trends and wellness insights

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information with any third parties. Period.

Your data may only be shared in these limited circumstances:

If you explicitly use an export or share feature within the app
If required by law (subpoena, court order, or legal process)

6. Cookies & Tracking

The Wellness OS application does not use cookies, tracking pixels, or any third-party analytics scripts. We use browser localStorage solely for application functionality, not for tracking or advertising purposes.

7. Data Security

Since all data is stored locally on your device:

Your data is protected by your device's own security measures (passcode, biometrics, encryption)
The application is served over HTTPS to protect data in transit
We do not maintain databases of user information that could be breached
You maintain full control over your data at all times

8. Your Rights

You have complete control over your data:

Access: All your data is visible within the app at all times
Export: Use the Export Protocol Summary feature to download your data
Delete: Clear your browser's localStorage to permanently remove all data, or use the "Clear Today's Check-ins" feature for daily resets
Portability: Your data is stored in standard JSON format in localStorage

9. Children's Privacy

Wellness OS is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors. The supplement and health protocol information in this app is designed for adult use under the guidance of healthcare professionals.

10. Medical Disclaimer

    Important: Wellness OS is an informational wellness tracking tool, not a medical device or healthcare provider. The supplement recommendations, food-nutrient interactions, and practice suggestions provided by this app are for educational and tracking purposes only. Always consult with a qualified healthcare professional before starting any new supplement, dietary, or wellness protocol.
  

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected with an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
